How to activate your gift card
To activate your Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card, please
enter the 6-character unique activation code sent to you. This code is
case-sensitive, so please enter it exactly as it appears on your letter
How does the Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card work?
Once you have both letters and you have completed the activation process
it will work like any other gift card. You will have £100 in total to redeem
against goods and services within registered businesses.
How do I activate my Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card?
Insert your ‘16’ digit gift card number and your ‘6’ alpha/numeric activation
code contained in first letter that arrived from Aberdeenshire Council
The activation code must be submitted using UPPERCASE letters i.e. 3GU9LR
NOT 3gu9lr
Your activation code is made up of 6 characters and will consist of letters
and numbers only
When do I need to activate my Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift card by?
You have 3 months from the date you receive your gift card to activate
it for use.
What happens if I don’t activate my Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card within 3 months of receiving it?
Your card will be disabled, and you will not be able to spend the gift
card value £100.
When do I need to spend my Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card by?
Your gift card will be valid for a period of 12 months from the date of
activation. Thereafter any remaining balance will be lost.
Where can I spend my Aberdeenshire Gift Card?
Once you have activated your Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card,
you will be able to spend it at any participating business across Aberdeenshire.
Over 200 businesses of all sizes are registered to receive payments via
the Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card. To view a list of participating

How do I check what is the balance on my Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card?
The instructions for how you can check the balance of your gift card are
written on the reverse of the card:
Your Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire Gift Card has been successfully
loaded with £100. You can now spend your gift card with participating businesses
across the Aberdeenshire Council area.
You can check the remaining balance on your gift card at: getmybalance.com
An unknown error occurred. To successfully activate your gift card, please
enter your 6-digit unique activation number (contained in the first letter
sent to you by Aberdeenshire Council) and the 16-digit gift card number
that you can find on the back of your physical gift card. Please check
the numbers, and try again.
This gift card has been activated already. Once activated, your gift card
cannot be activated again. Please check your gift card balance at getmybalance.com
